APRS merupakan satu sistem digital yang berasaskan radio amatuer. Dibina oleh Bob Bruninga (WB4APR) di Akademi Laut US. Sistem ini membolehkan lokasi semasa station dihantar menggunakan frekuensi amatuer.
Untuk menggunakan sistem ini, peranti yang perlu ada :
1- Radio
2- TnC (Terminal Node Controller)
3 - GPS
